My name is Evelyn Cuevas and I am currently a senior at Windsor High School. I am currently making plans to further my education and career. I plan to attend Santa Rosa Junior College this fall as an undergraduate Law enforcement student. I will be studying Law Enforcement to obtain my Bachelor’s Degree as a Police Officer.
Over the past two years, I have had the opportunity to volunteer for several different people and organizations. I have volunteered with The Boys and Girls Club at Cali Calmecac leading a program titled “Drama Matters”, working with The Arts program and at YWCA leading an Arts and Crafts class at a Preschool for kids who experience domestic violence. Because of my experiences working with children it has given me the ability to communicate, inspire trust, confidence, and motivate others. Volunteering for my community has always been an enjoyable experience for me because it is the best way to give back to my community what they have provided me with. I strive to fulfill the needs of others and I have an incredible desire to acquire all the skills any employer or mentor would be able to instill in me. My main goal is to gain experience.
